Welcome to my annual Gift Guide for Her – 2020 edition! Well, let’s not lie to ourselves. It’s been one hell of a year. Rough for many of us, some more than others. In this year’s Gift Guide for her, I’m trying to bring positivity, boost confidence, and encourage optimism.
Whether it’s a gift for your mother, grandmother, or bestie, I hope you can find something in my gift guide which resonates with you. Don’t forget to also treat yourself to a little something!
Having said that, please attach an extra dose of kindness and patience to every gift this year. More than ever, it’s so important to remind those around us that we care, they are loved, and that there will be better times ahead.
Let’s get to it!

Creating a calm, relaxing home environment is so important. Especially now that many of us are spending a lot more time indoors. I love these gorgeous hand-poured and handcrafted candles from Botanicandle London. They have a variety of soy and paraffin candles. One of my favorites is their reusable gel floral candles, which are just so gorgeous when lit up. They’ve recently made their products available on Etsy and would make perfect gifts.
I’ve been a fan of Niomi Smart for a while and was so excited for the launch of her new skincare line, Smart Skin. This multi V elixir is deeply hydrating, brightening, balancing, and nourishing. The perfect gift for all and any skincare lovers! As it is suitable for all skin types, it is also a safe skincare option to go for.
This scarf just screams luxury, thoughtfulness, and practicality! Check out my product review for the DotKnits scarf here. Made from fully sustainable and recycled materials, each scarf is unique and one of a kind. You can have one specially made for you too, just by filling out a short questionnaire.
With lockdowns and reduced outdoor activities, it’s more important than ever to try and motivate ourselves to stay fit. I’ve had my FitBit for almost three years now, and this year it has been especially useful. The colder weather and ongoing pandemic make it extra hard to find the motivation to exercise, so FitBits are perfect to get that extra push of motivation.
Life is full of small, precious moments. I think we all took many things for granted before the pandemic changed everything! Capture those tiny daily moments with this fun instant camera, and keep inspired every day.
I’ve been finding myself wearing leggings and t-shirts a lot this year! Cosy, home outfits have been the way to go. Why not spice up your home wardrobe with some fancy PJs?
The happiness planner has been specifically designed to not just schedule and manage daily life, but to do so in a meaningful way. It promotes living a happy and fulfilled lifestyle. They do this by getting the user to embrace the power of mindfulness, gratitude, and personal growth. Their theme for the 2021 planner is transformation. I honestly love this concept so much, and it has been designed after the year we’ve all had. The transformation theme focuses on tackling the lack of motivation, and to help us reach our ideal self. This would be such a thoughtful and uplifting gift to anyone. Personally, I have put this on my wishlist for this Christmas!
I’ve had a foldaway overnight bag from Cath Kidston for years and years, and I can’t stress how useful it is. You can pack it flat and tuck it away when it’s not in use, but it opens up into a super useful bag which fits surprisingly large volumes! This is the perfect size for a weekend trip, or an overnight stay somewhere, and would be such a great gift that would last years and years.
I’ve been a big fan of gifting useful and green products, and I love the idea of giving a really nice water bottle to someone. This double-walled stainless steel bottle keeps your water cold for 24 hours and hot for 9 hours. I love having a water bottle and use it every day even when I’m just staying home. It helps me keep track of my water intake, and reduce waste and washing up too!
One of the best eco-swaps I made this year was from disposable cotton pads to reusable ones. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to find the exact ones that I have. These alternative ones I found on amazon are extremely close though! They make the perfect gift for any skincare lover or a much-needed nudge for anyone still using disposable cotton pads!

I really hope these items give you some inspiration or are what you are looking for! As always, please let me know what you think and what you would’ve added to this list! I’d love to know if you do use any of these and what your thoughts are.
Remember to be safe, protect others, and promote kindness. Look after yourself during this particularly busy and stressful time. It can be a difficult time any year, but especially this one. Text a friend you haven’t contacted in a while. Reach out to a relative that lives alone. Share compassion this season.
Stay safe and see you in the next one,
