Gift guide for Him

Holiday gift guide – part 1

I’m starting off the gift guide mini series of blogmas with gifts for him! I always find men harder to buy for than women, whether it’s for my partner, brother, dad or friends, I never know what to get them! I have a million ideas for the women in my life, but I can never think of something that is price appropriate as well as a good gift for men.

So here are some gift ideas that I’ve gotten for guys over the years or that I would gift to someone now and hopefully it will be useful for you too!

Please let me know what you’ve been getting for people, I would LOVE to know and get some more ideas 😊

Leave any suggestions in the comments down below or let me know on Twitter/Instagram!

So let’s get started 🙈

Bialetti Moka Express Espresso Maker  – £26

I bought this classic coffee maker for my Dad last year, after I started using one the year before for my daily coffees. I find this one to be the perfect size, as it makes 3 cups, but if I’m feeling like I really need it I’ll just drink it all! My dad loved this present, and as he often drinks coffee, it really was such a great fit. Its made in Italy, and is great quality and easy to care for and clean. You can’t really go wrong with it, and for me its the best way to drink coffee at home 🙂 Make sure you don’t put it in the dishwasher, and you’re good to go with a perfect cup of wake me up every day.

Nescafe Dolce Gusto Mini Me Coffee Machine – £79.32

For those looking for a coffee machine instead of having to make one yourself, this little kitchen addition is perfect for any coffee lover. Its easy to use and clean, and can make you 40 different kinds of hot and cold drinks! Its small enough to slot into any kitchen, and with the handy coffee pods, you can pop them in with little fuss and mess. It also comes with americano, latte and cappuccino pods if you’re not sure what your favourite is. You can also get it in red/grey for a slightly cheaper price of £53.99.

Red Dead Redemption 2 – £49.99 – £59.99

Have you got someone who loves gaming in your life? Having watched my partner play the entire of Red Dead Redemption 2, I would recommend this as a gift for anyone who hasn’t got it yet! Its available on PS4 (£49.99), Xbox One (£49.99) and as a Xbox One Download code (£59.99). The graphics and gameplay are amazing, and we really enjoyed the story, including all of the side quests! Its definitely one which I’ve heard good things about from other people as well, and a classic game for both PS4 and Xbox.

The Maverick Gift Set Silver/White – £129

I bought my partner an Abott Lyon watch for Christmas last year, and not to praise myself but he absolutely loved it! Their watches are fantastic quality, and come with a 2 year guarantee, and for a watch this well made, is a very fair price. You can also get them engraved, and they also come in a variety of colours. He hasn’t had any issues with his watch, and unlike some other watches in this price range, the depth of the watch face is actually really thin, making it super wearable for any occasion. This has quickly become one of my favourite watch brands, and I would recommend this for anyone!

UNIQLO U Crew Neck Jumper – £34.90 (now £24.90!)

My partner and I have been slightly obsessed with Uniqlo for the last few years, and when this range of jumper I immediately loved it! Its so soft and cosy, and it comes in a range of amazing colours, although this light pink shade is my absolute favourite. You can’t really go wrong with Uniqlo, and no one can say no to a comfy, warm jumper! This one is reasonably priced for a product of this quality (its on sale now as well!) and I can personally say that no Uniqlo product has let me down yet!

Fitbit Charge 2 – £139.99 (now £108.99!)

I actually got this product for my mother and father in law last Christmas, and they both were really happy with it. If you know someone who loves sports and exercise, or is looking into getting fit as a new years resolution, the fitbit is such an amazing item to measure your activity and keep you motivated. It can track your work out goals, and help you reach them, and even record specific exercises and see real time statistics and you can view instant post work out summaries. Sleep is an important part of staying fit and active, and the fitbit can monitor your sleep and its quality, using the heart rate monitor. Its a great way to track and reach your goals, and keep going with stats to encourage you to obtain your aim.

BRITA filter water bottle – £27.47

This one I actually bought for myself earlier this year, and it has been amazing at keeping me hydrated. I ran out of filters last month (they last around 1 month each) and haven’t been using my bottle, and I know for sure that I have been really really bad at my water intake ever since. The issue was that I wasn’t carrying around a bottle with me all day to remind me, and I also didn’t particularly like the tap water in the area which I lived in. This bottle and the filters that come with it solved all of my problems, and the filter takes away the nasty chlorine-y taste of tap water. I have never stayed so well hydrated then when I had this bottle with me at all times, and really need to get it back! It comes with a lid which makes it handy to carry around, and it can even be washed in the dishwasher.

S’well Water Bottle – £35 (now £29.99!)

I got this bottle for my mom after her work went plastic free, and the S’well bottles are all vacuum insulated and made of stainless steel, and are completely BPA free. The 500 ml sized ones are typical of a standard bottle of water, and the triple walled construction of it means that drinks can be kept cold for 24 hours, or hot for 12 hours, making it perfect for both summer and winter. In the age of plastic free, we need to be more conscious of using disposable plastics, and carrying around a reusable and high quality water bottle is definitely a great start.

Philips Wake Up Light Alarm Clock – £140 (now £101.59!)

My brother is one of those people that cannot wake up in the morning, so I got him this alarm clock after hearing rave reviews about the sun simulation light for waking up naturally. This one is available with 5 sounds (£101.59), or with 7 sounds (£112.95) but both have the sun light simulation modes. 92% of users have said that they find it easier to wake up in the morning, and you can also dim the lights and have gentle sounds playing to send you off to sleep. It even has a handy USB port to charge your phone!

Beer mugs – £16.99

And finally, one for the Beer lover in your life! I’ve been seeing these traditional style pint glasses everywhere recently, and although I personally do not drink beer, I find them much nicer than the standard pint glass, and I really like the way they look, as well as the fact that they have a handle! This comes as a set of 4, and are sturdy and robust, and are safe to put in the dishwasher. It even comes with a 2 year warranty so you can drink beers at home in style!

I really hope these items give you some inspiration or are what you are looking for, and that you enjoyed reading! As always, please let me know what you think and what you would’ve added to this list! I’d love to know if you do use any of these and what your thoughts are.

See you tomorrow for Blogmas Day 4!

Rina 🙂
