Luxury skincare guide
Hi everyone – hope you’re all good! I LOVE skincare and researching different products and ingredients, so today I’m sharing my top 5 best luxury skincare products!
Recently, I did a post about the top 5 drugstore makeup products, so I guess this follows on from that. Price isn’t everything when looking for the best products, and sometimes drugstore is the best for one thing and sometimes the extra price tag is worth it!
Drugstore products are some of my favourites, but there are also some luxury skincare products which I absolutely cannot live without. These are just the 5 products which I think are justified by their prices.

Luxury skincare products
I’ve heard people say “just because it’s expensive doesn’t make it good” which I completely agree with. BUT! That doesn’t mean expensive means bad and not worth it either! So here are the ones which actually ARE good!
SK-II GenOptics Aura Essence
I’m starting off my list with the most expensive product – but for an excellent reason. It’s the best skincare investment! In my opinion, no other product has made such a difference. SK-II definitely isn’t cheap, and this isn’t one of their more affordable products. I love their toner and essence too, but the aura essence has brightened up my skin, reducing the appearance of dark spots and redness.

Tatcha The Water Cream
I didn’t want to have more than one product from the same brand, but I just could not choose between my two favourite Tatcha products. So heres the first of them! This water cream is AMAZING. It is more like a gel texture than a cream, and I love that because one thing I can’t stand is greasy moisturiser. This is the perfect last step of my skincare routine, and it really seals and locks in all the products that come before it. I use this mostly at night, but sometimes in the morning too. When I wake up in the morning, my skin is so soft and smooth, I absolutely love it. It also gets other products working better and longer!

Tatcha Camellia Cleansing Oil
I was really skeptical when I first heard about this and got it, but something about it made me want to try it out. There was one particular post on reddit I saw, where someone said that this was the best cleanser they had ever tried, and the whole thread was just negative comments saying it’s expensive so it’s bad! But these people who were saying that had never even tried it! I thought just because it’s a pricey product, it doesn’t deserve a negative rep.
So I went off to try it, and omg! It was amazing! It melted and cleared out my pores as well as my makeup, and the formula is super gentle. My skin feels so clean with just one application, and it gets rid of everything. Waterproof mascara, foundation, sunscreen – you name it, melts away! All you have to do is rinse with warm water afterwards, and it leaves skin so soft yet so clean. I often use this as step 1 in my two-step cleaning routine.
Fresh Rose Floral Toner
I talked about this product when I first got it in my skincare haul post, and I’ve taken it to almost every trip I’ve been on. Not sure why, but my skin particularly loves this when I’ve been travelling. Luckily, the bottle comes in both large and travel friendly sizes, and the spritzer nozzle is absolutely perfect for getting an even and fresh application. It’s so refreshing and leaves skin hydrated and light. This is absorbed really quickly, and doesn’t leave anything behind. Also it smells amazing!
Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Oil
I talked about this product earlier this year in my February favourites, and I’m still loving it! My boyfriend bought this for me at Christmas, and it works wonders, especially during the colder months. I have a lot of issues with dry and tight skin in the winter, and whenever it sneaks up on me, I use this oil at night. It only takes 1 – 2 drops, and in the morning, my skin looks calm and happy. This is a really great, non-greasy oil, and is SO easy to apply!

Great products and descriptions! Kheil’s and Fresh are such good brands, I’d try anything in their lineup! I’ve heard a million great things about the midnight recovery oil although I haven’t tried it myself yet.
