March favourites – all my best bits from the past month 😃
The first ever favourites post I did was March 2018 last year, you can check it out here. I’ve come such a long way since then, I was still so weak and desperately trying to recover and go back to normal back then, recovering from Legionnaires’ disease. Since then, I’ve come back to work after 10 months away, writing up my thesis, and come a long way on my blog too.
Most important thing? I’ve completely recovered!
So this is a special favourites for me. I really hope you like it, and please do share what your best bits of the month have been!

I know I say this almost every month, but it seems like this month has totally flown by. I didn’t achieve as much as I hoped to in the past 4 weeks, but I’m slowly getting there. Hopefully April will be better!
I want to share all of my favourite things from this month, and what I’ve been loving. Everything from skincare to exhibits and gardens!
Hope you enjoy, and see something you like 🙂 What have your best parts of March been?

I started watching Narcos a few weeks ago, and became OBSESSED. I’m learning Spanish before I go travelling to South America at the end of the year, and this is really helping me!
Narcos follows two DEA agents hunting down Pablo Escobar, the notorious Colombian narcoterrorist. They show you glimpses of his life as well, and how he came to be the so-called “King of Cocaine”. His family, his relationships, how he manipulated and corrupted the government and police. I’m halfway through season 2, and I absolutely love it so far. There’s a season 3 of Narcos, and theres also another series now all about Narcos Mexico.
I can’t wait to finish this, I’m so excited to watch the rest of it!
Chiswick House and Gardens
It was my partners birthday, and we have a tradition of planning each others weekend as a birthday surprise. One place we went was to Chiswick House and Gardens, in West London. It was hard to believe that we were still in zone 3, the gardens were so quiet and serene.
Chiswick House itself is beautiful, and the entry is very affordable. The upstairs has a stunning interior, and you get to explore it with or without a guide. Theres a café where they serve lunch, coffees and cakes, and the toilets there are clean!
The gardens are so lovely, and my favourite feature is the “Classic Bridge”. If anyone lives in London, I’d definitely recommend it for a day out. There were so many families there, as well as lots and lots of dogs!
Wildlife photographer of the year
Another part of the birthday weekend was a trip to the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition. Located in the Natural History Museum, it is DEFINITELY worth the tickets, which are a bit on the pricey side.
The photographs are absolutely stunning, thought provoking and sensational. I loved the animal portraits photos, as well as looking at the exhibit which featured young photographers, who are around my age!
It was also hard hitting but important to see the human impact on natural habitats and animals. Not only the environmental damages, but human cruelty towards our animal friends.
Skincare & Beauty
My mom bought this cleanser, and had it lying around so I decided to give it a go. I didn’t have any expectations, but it has been amazing! It smells amazing (I love lemongrass), and its completely organic and vegan. Its really soothing, and the gel formula makes skin feeling cleansed and smooth. Its super simple to use, and my skin has been much clearer since using it.

Okay so this has been my setting powder for years and years and years, and I have always used this, but I’m not sure if I’ve ever featured it on a monthly favourite! This is the easiest most versatile setting powder I’ve ever used, and its extremely affordable – always on sale and never more than £4.

I used my moms stand mixer for the first time to make brownies and cakes this month, and it made life SO much easier! I hadn’t realised how simple it made life, and it makes baking super quick! I’ve been baking a lot more since I’ve discovered this majesty. I’ve always loved a KitchenAid, but the all-in-one mixer makes it super easy to make things even like carrot and courgette cakes. You can mix the batter while the veg can be chopped on top!
This is everything I’ve loved this month, I’m sorry its a bit later than usual! Please let me know what you’ve been loving, I’d love to know!
See you in the next one,
